Password Generator Help |
Is my password unique? |
The short answer is no. The long answer is that, as with any password, the set of characters used to generate the password is limited; and this, in effect, limits the number of possible unique passwords. However the probability of a non-unique password grows significantly lower as the length of the password increases. |
Password Combinations: Using a 24-character password with a possibility of sixty-six different characters, there would be 12,414,863,616,265,320,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 uniquely generated passwords, that is more than twelve-tretrigintillion. That's without using capital letters.
